The firm is built on the foundation of more than 30 years of accounting practices, fused together to form what is now known as Peters & Partners. Our roots go back to the early 80s when Al Heman started his own firm. Just a few years later he was joined by John Friedland, a man who remains a proud partner to this day. Now after a merger with Michael Peters, this esteemed firm has been built into a substantial Chartered Accounting Public Practice Firm, and has helped companies both small and large to innovate and succeed.
“Our firm works because we have all bought to the table an excellent client base, teams that have integrated well and share the same goals and objectives, and we as partners all share the same values and views,” says founder John Friedland.
David’s passion is driving growth and helping the average become the exceptional.
“One of my proudest moments was taking a small retail business with turnover of $3 million and turning it into a $20 million one,” says David.
David ran the accounting arm of a financial firm before joining the team at Peters & Partners. His skills range from financial management expertise, strategic planning, leadership advice and, of course, the backbone of every good accountant, taxation expertise.
But behind that advisor façade is a man who admires the extraordinary. His hero is Superman. “I’ve got to admire a man who can fly!” says David.
Clients are Troy’s priority. “I am lucky to have extremely strong client relationships and I really enjoy helping them solve their business problems.”
Troy’s expertise includes helping clients harness technology, providing outsourced CFO services, and taxation and advisory services for family groups.
His background ranges from the Big Four accounting firms to smaller ones, and he has worked in the UK, Europe and Australia.
His hero is Bear Grylls. “He is very passionate about what he does and about what he feels is important in life. Very inspiring!”
After almost 30 years as a partner of his own accounting practice, there isn’t much in the financial services field that John hasn’t seen or done before. His decision to combine forces with Michael Peters joins together two passionate firms who consider clients their number 1 priority.
“My founding principle is to provide the best service to clients,” he says. “This means, if necessary, I am available 24/7 and can provide exceptionally short turnaround times, with an open door policy to be generally available to meet clients at short notice.”
John’s heroes are those who share his strong views on having high standards and values.
